SCIENCE WEEK!
It's nearly time for Science Week again!
Wahoo!! One of our favourite events in the school calendar is approaching - SCIENCE WEEK! This year the theme is 'Science in Motion' and it will run from 11th-15th March 2019.
We already have some super exciting events lined up:
Monday 11th March - Special Maths in Motion club. All Class 2 and 3 children will be invited to attend and have a 'one off' go at racing their friends on the Maths in Motion software.... maybe deciding whether to join the team on a more permanent basis...?
Tuesday 12th March - Class 2 will be hosting a 'Motion Makers' workshop from 1.45-3pm - parents/grandparents/well behaved small people are invited to join in the fun with their children!
Thursday 14th March - A whole school experiment which children will be over the moon about. All parents/grandparents/aunties/uncles/young siblings are invited to the explosive finale from 2.15pm on the playground/recreation ground.
Friday 15th March - Sharing assembly 8.45am. All classes will be sharing their learning from throughout the week and the prestigious 'Scientist of the Week' prizes will be awarded.
ALSO exact day TBC - Class 3's science fair!! Excitingly under new management. Watch this space.
There will be other science events and investigations taking place in classes, which will be kept a secret until the big week! Please put these events in your diary - we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
