Class 2 - Y2, Y3, Y4
Class 2 is made up of children in Years 2, 3 and 4. The focus is on consolidating learning in the final stages of Key Stage 1 and then moving on to explore and apply learning in greater depth as the children begin their journey into early Key Stage 2.
Our History topic this term is: 'The Anglo Saxons'. We'll investigate a wide variety of themes ranging from what life was like as an Anglo-Saxon to the legacy they left behind. Our Geography topic is 'Why settle here in East Anglia?' Within this, we will investigate the key concepts behind settlement, linking this to historical reasoning.
Our Science topics this term are light and forces and magnets.
As always, we will be writing in a wide variety of genres using key texts to support these. We are beginning with 'Fantastic Mr Fox' by Roald Dahl.
